Ocracoke Island Lighthouse - NPS Passport Cancellation Stations on Waymarking.com

This stamp can be obtained at the Ocracoke Island Visitor Center in the town of Ocracoke at Cape Hatteras National Seashore. There are three visitor centers within the national park, each with its own stamp design. This visitor center and ranger station is located at the end of Highway 12 near the ferry station; the lighthouse which is featured on the stamp can be seen on the opposite side of the harbor, less than a mile away by car.

The stamp pictured here is the large format cancellation with a graphic of Ocracoke Island Lighthouse; a smaller cancellation with date and location is also available. The ranger station is full service and offers activities and programs.

Ocracoke Island itself is reached by car ferry from either Cedar Island, Swan Quarter, or Hatteras. The Hatteras ferry is free.
