This benchmark is located along the Cascade Lakes Highway, about 8 miles southwest of Bend. The cap is set in a square concrete post, about 40 feet north of the highway centerline. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1942 and was marked T369. When the Cascade Lakes Highway was to be widened in 1981 it was thought that this benchmark would be destroyed so a new one was set about 60 feet farther north (PB0798).
