PB0250 - USCGS R369, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is located along the Cascade Lakes Highway, about 10 miles southwest of Bend. The cap is set in rock outcrop, about 45 feet northwest of the highway centerline. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1942 and was marked R369.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1963. 9.8 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG CENTURY DRIVE FROM THE POST OFFICE AT BEND, 175 FEET NORTHEAST OF A METAL CULVERT UNDER THE HIGHWAY, 45 FEET NORTHEAST OF A TRACK ROAD WEST, 43 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF CENTURY DRIVE, 2 1/2 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A METAL WITNESS POST AND ABOUT 5 FEET ABOVE THE HIGHWAY IN A 3 BY 3 FOOT ROCK OUTCROP THAT PROJECTS 6 INCHES.
