Located about half way up Loops Road, a road built by Sam Hill in 1913, the first paved road in the Pacific Northwest now closed to motor traffic but is well maintained as a hiking and bicycle trail. The monument is affixed on top of a 8”X8”X12” concrete pillar, very visible about 20 feet off the East edge of the pavement.
