This Obelisk stands next to another memorial on the corner of a park in Adelaide, South Australia. Over 30 feet tall, it commemorates the members of the Light Horse Brigade which fought on behalf of the Allies during World War I. Erected in 1925, the plaque was added in October of 2002 to commemorate the passing of the last South Australian Veteran Light Horseman, who died that year.
