The Elk Fountain was presented to the City of Portland by David P. Thompson AD 1900. HG Wright, Architect. Elk Fountain is one of the most elegant troughs for horses and dogs.

Elk Fountain can be between Chapman Square and Lownsdale Park on Main Street. Don't know much history here, but will be happy to revise as people tell me.
