This arch is presumed to be from the Greek Theatre facade that was relocated to the Guild Inn's sculpture park.
The location is very popular for wedding photography, and the facades are designated as part of the Ontario Heritage Property, the Guild Inn.
The Inn operated from 1914 to 2001, but is now a park operated by the City of Toronto. If you visit in the warmer months, be prepared to wait until a wedding party is finished with this archway. The rest of the theatre facade can be found about 150 metres southwest of this arch.
There are several other arches on the property as well. Wander around and you'll see them.
Type: Gateway
Subtype: Sculpture
