The NEW STATE OFFICE BUILDING, SE. corner High St. and Broadway, an
eight-story, limestone structure of modern set-back design, is the newest of the
government buildings. Completed in 1938, it houses the more important boards and
commissions, and appointive offices. - Missouri: A Guide to the "Show-Me"

The building now known as the Broadway State Office Building is much as
described. The building now houses predominately offices for the state
attorney general and offices for the state social services.
