University of Wisconsin Green Bay has long had a tradition of seniors throwing a pair of shoes into their shoe tree. This tree is located next to the Sports Center parking lot and seems to consist mainly of sneakers.

Until 2002, the favored shoe tree at UW Green Bay was an old oak near the housing complex. In 2002, however, this tree blew over (maybe because it was burdened down with so many shoes?) There is a short blurb about this on the UW-GB web site (visit link) .

Apparently after the old one blew down, the students found another oak tree near the Sports Center to throw their shoes into.
