NOTE: this weathervane has been knocked down onto the roof behind the turret and the building is currently empty, so no idea when/if it will be repaired. Detailed whale on the turret of the former Old Bath House at Lover's Point.

This lovely old weathervane has much finer detail than is available on store bought ones nowdays.
Monterey Bay is visited throughout the year by various species of whales, including grays, humpbacks, and occasional blue whales, the largest animal ever to live on earth.
