The Republic Plaza's 280 meter height makes it the tallest buiding in Singapore. A feat that it shares with two other buildings. No other buildings will surpass this height as there is a 280 meter limit on buildings in Singapore imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
The building looks like the traditional columnar shape, but it has one dramatic twist. Part way up the building, the building twists 45 degress to shift the facade to provide ocean views to the higher floors of the building.
