Unlike many museums where an IMAX screen is part of the facility, the Omnitheater can be purchased separately from the normal museum entrance fee.
If you would like to enjoy just the movie the admission fee is $7.50 per adult ($6.50 for children and seniors). Most showings are from 10 until 3 at the top of each hour.
The Science Museum of Minnesota and the Omnitheater are both closed on Mondays.
The current movie is a 45-minute film about the "Mysteries of the Great Lakes." It will close its run here in the beginning of January of 2009.
