At Fuller Field, claimed to be the world's oldest baseball diamond, there is a 'den' of lions at or near the main entrance to the field. The one marked is the solitary one at the entrance. Two others are on either side of the entrance to the field house.
The entrance to Fuller Field is a miniature version of a ticket office like entrance to to a professional ball park. However, at the top of a brick column sits a white lion statue. The lion is about six feet off the ground and is about 2 feet long.
The score board has a Lions Club sticker on it. Is there a connection?
The web site is a general site to the town of Clinton. There are no direct references to the field. For instance, I could not find a link to any "Parks and Recreation" web site. There was a baseball league that referenced it as one of the fields that used the baseball field to play on.
