The Library was designed to serve residents of the southwestern area of the parish, to accommodate a book collection of 160,000 volumes, including the Library's Genealogy collection and to provide seating for 300 patrons.
The clerestory features two stained glass windows by Steve Wilson, a local stained glass artist. The windows were given by Norman Saurage, and by Fred Greer, Jr., in memory of his wife.
