Located high above the east end of Miramar Lake, this park has beautiful views of the lake and the city beyond. In addition to having typical modern playground equipment with sand beneath it, there is a large flat grassy area for running around or kicking a ball around in. Around the perimiter is a concrete sidewalk that's good for riding trikes and bikes around; there's also a series of "Healthline" fitness stations. There is a dirt path that goes down to connect with the system of paved and dirt trails around Lake Miramar; trailhead is at 32 55.141, 117 05.316 near a picnic table. There is a water fountain, and some kind soul in the neighborhood makes sure that there's always a bowl under it for dogs to drink out of.
You may want to avoid driving into the park's parking lot, and just park on the street curb instead. There is a HUGE BUMP at the entrance, and no matter how carefully I take it, my car always scrapes bottom.
