QD1000 - USDA FS 15, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is located along Ore Hwy 242 about 1.5 miles SW of McKenzie Pass. The benchmark is set in a lava outcrop at small parking space, about 23 feet southeast of highway centerline. The benchmark was set by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service in 1926 and was stamped 15. Although the description says it is stamped C15 it is actually just stamped 15.

ABOUT 1.5 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 28 FROM MCKENZIE PASS, DESCHUTES COUNTY, SET IN THE TOP OF A LAVA ROCK OUTCROP AT A SMALL PARKING SPACE, 23.0 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 2.0 FEET NORTHEAST OF A WHITE REFERENCE POST. STAMPING C 15 26.
