St. Tammany Fire District No. 1 firefighters slide the driver of an 18-wheeler, strapped to a spine board, across ladders spanning a deep ditch Tuesday, November 27, 2007, after an accident east of Slidell. The driver, hauling a load of oats, apparently lost control of her rig on Military Road near Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was taken to NorthShore Regional Medical Center in Slidell.
