Honeoye Falls is located in the middle of the Village of Honeoye Falls. The village was originally founded in 1791 by Zebulon Norton, who built a grist mill, then later a saw mill at this site. Honeoye Falls maintains a small town feel and is closely rooted to it's past. There is a viewing area at the top of the falls with plaques explaining the history of the buildings in the area or you can go behind the Mendon Town Hall for another nice viewing area.
