This area used to look a lot different and was filled with many arches leading no where. Redoing of this park start in late 2004 and was completed in April of 2005. All the archways were removed except for this one doorway. This park is called the Lake City Mini Park. It is closed from Midnight to 4am, and according the the signs, trespassers will be ticketed. It is possible to view this piece without entering the park, however.
Despite searching, I can find nothing about this large stone doorway. I always remember it being there, although it sure did look different when I was a kid! Parking is available on the street. There is a cache in this area (and yes, I think its a micro, fitting for a mini park!)
