A popular hike, climbing 1120 ft to Hanging Lake, off an Interstate 70 rest area. Not an easy walk! A 90 minute (or more) hike on a rough trail, but children can make it. The "spouting rock" feature is very loud as it plummets to the rocks below. The trailhead has an elevation of 6130 feet. The water flows into the Colorado River. A second set of curtain waterfalls from the spouting rock flows into Hanging Lake. Open year-round, but dangerous walking on snow-covered rock trail.
