The waymark is on part of the Minnewaska State Park Preserve off of RT.299. The top of the mountain is one giant piece of rock outcropping that is basically flat. The views, especially in Autumn, are breathtaking.

I have been coming to the "rock garden" for a couple of years now and I am still in awe of the view and the rock sculptures. It is on State land and is part of the Minnewaska State Preserve. What makes this place unique (besides the view) is the rock sculptures that people make on the rock outcropping. There are dinosaurs, animals, interesting signs, etc. The sculptures are made with all different sized rocks that are found on top of the rock outcropping.
