The Makapuu Lighthouse is at the end of a 1 mile trail/road. Bring water with you, as it can get quire hot on the climb up the hill. At the top, you will be rewarded with the Makapuu Point Light benchmark.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (WRP) STATION RECOVERED AND FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. IT IS LOCATED ON MAKAPUU POINT, ABOUT 600 FEET NORTHEAST FROM THE U.S. COAST GUARD BUILDINGS, AND IS 420 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL. CENTER OF LIGHT IS 46 FEET ABOVE GROUND AND THE RED BALL ATOP THE RED, CONICAL ROOF OVER THE LIGHT IS 60 FEET ABOVE GROUND
