Originally constructed in 1837 through the private funding by the Literary Society of the Alexandrian Library, this three story cobblestone structure served as a school for 101 yrs until 1938. It housed at various times the Alexander Classical School, the Genesee Wyoming Seminary, the Alexander Union School and the Alexander High School. Today the building houses the Alexander Town Hall and the town courts.
