Taking a north turn off of Hwy 140 onto Forest Service Road 3615 and traveling just a few miles will take you to this simple, yet enjoyable viewpoint. A walk of about a quarter of a mile down a dirt path will lead you to a picnic table and two benches facing the view. The area is natural with high desert wildflowers and sagebrush. There is an outcropping of large rocks nearby for those who wish to climb and scramble over such items. The elevation is over 6800 feet.

The day we were there, the south winds were bringing in the smoke from the California fires of Summer 2008 so the view was not as clear as I know it can be. You could still see a way far off though.
