Wellsboro natives Fred and Elizabeth Bailey, lived their lives Denver, Colorado. Following the death of Mrs. Brady, Mr. Brady commissioned this bronze statue of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod which he presented to the Brady's hometown of Wellsboro. The statue has been in place on the Green since its dedication on Friday, September 23, 1938.
The statue has been on display since that time with the addition of the wrought iron fence and the addition of the marker bearing the poem. Restoration work was done on the statue in 1989.
