CheroCola was a popular soft drink invented by Claude Adkins Hatcher a pharmacist in Columbus, Georgia in 1905. Though you might not of heard of Chero-Cola in the early 1900's it gave CocaCola a run for it's money as the most popular drink in America. It was first bottled by the Union Bottling Works of Columbus, GA. which later opened more plants in more states.

In 1932 R. M. Grubb of Dothan, bought the Dothan Chero-Cola franchise and renamed it the Nehi Company of Columbus, Ga. Later they went on to bottle RC (Royal Crown Cola). The rest is cola history.
