Located almost within sight of and east of the old Strathcona Station, this roundhouse may still be used to make minor repairs and maintenance to diesel electric locomotives, or it might be for smaller equipment repairs such as track machinery. The turntable has been removed and in it's place is a wye track. Wye tracks consist of three turnouts with connecting track arranged in a 'wye'. By running a locomotive over this track, the locomotive will be completely turned around. A turntable is faster and perhaps a bit less labor to use than a wye track. A wye track is probably less maintenance than a turntable.
This website here - (

There has also been some talk of turning the roundhouse into a brewery - (

Warning - the rounhouse is on private property. It can be observed by looking through the chainlink fence.
