England - Idlewild Park is a 290-acre facility having fishing ponds and natural wetland areas that are home to many wild life and plant species. Seven athletic fields are available for baseball, softball, soccer and football, as well as a basketball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a large playground. There are 3 miles of paved trails that include fitness stations, and 11 miles of wooded hiking - mountain bike trails. Three picnic shelters are available and may be reserved. The park is located on Idlewild Road just past the Boone County Fairgrounds.
