The Woodson Woods access is located on Mo Hwy 8 between Steelville and St. James. The Meramec River is a good small bass fishing river however this particular portion offers good trout fishing. The Meramec Springs fish hatchery is located just down river from this location. Special Red Ribbon Trout Area regulations apply to this section of the river.
