Found this statue in an outdoor sculpture park along the Song river in Hue, Vietnam. It's a very cool, shady park for strolling or just watching the river go by. There are several art pieces scattered throughout the park, but this was the one I liked best because it was so near the river and because the family seemed to be holding to each other and taking flight as if to escape. Hue was the scene of intense fighting during the Tet Offensive of 1968 so I imagine a lot of families did huddle and try to flee. Or perhaps that is just my imagination which was sparked by this statue.
