The Cut Mark is in good condition tucked away on the North West Face of the gate post on the South West side of the road. It was last verified in 1959 and the level above sea is measured at 82.0735. It is at a height of 0.5m above ground level.
We were quite surprised to come across this as we were exploring the perimeter of Boughton House. There were lambs in the parkland beyond the gate and good views of the historic house in the distance.
