After 93 years in the same location, the Virginia Cafe was forced to find a new home. In February 2008, they transported many of the classic VC fixtures to their new location at 820 SW 10th Avenue.

On September 17th, 2007, the Virginia Cafe began construction on their new location at 820 SW 10th Avenue - the former home of the Willamette Week offices across from the Central Library in downtown Portland. With the eminent demise of an old favorite for so many people over the 93 years, they found a new home. In February 2008, they closed their doors at the 725 SW Park location and opened at the 820 SW 10th Avenue location that very same day. They transported as many of the classic VC fixtures, such as their chandeliers, etched glasswork, and light fixtures to the new location.
