According to a marker in the ground near the entrances of the park, Central Hill Playground was dedicated by Somerville Mayor Michael E. Capuano in 1991. There are two sides to the play area, one having a sandy swing area and a short play area, and the other having a standard-sized play area. The nearby library should have restrooms available during business hours.
