For over 2,000 years, generation after generation of Christians have built churches that have responded to the needs and dynamics of the cultures that they've lived in, and have witnessed to the gospel story of God's love for the world in ways that were responsive to the social, political, economic, and cultural realities framing their lives. St. John Lutheran Church tries to continue that witness today.
In our increasingly secular world, it's clearly time for the followers of Jesus Christ to deconstruct the church for ourselves in order to.
Our mission: To be a community of believers, gathered by the Spirit, washed in Baptism, marked with the cross of Christ, nourished by Word and Sacrament, called to respond to God's gifts of grace, and set apart as disciples of Jesus Christ for a life of learning, witness and service.
Our vision: To operate as a MISSION CENTER! In operating as a Mission Center, our goal is to actively and passionately share the message of love and forgiveness found in and through Jesus Christ.
