The cannon that guards the blockhouse of Ft. Scott.
This is the only blockhouse that I have ever run across.
I may have seen some as a kid as we explored all across the US and the Old Forts but do not remember them.
I made a tour right after the Geodetic Tour of 2008 at Meades Ranch.
I am glad there was a train blocking the road I might not have got to find so many neat things in this Civil War Town.
So make sure and stop it is well worth the visit.
