Owen Beach is located within Point Defiance Park in the city of Tacoma, Washington. The poplular beach has both sandy and pebbled sections of shore and is connected to the Boathouse, ferry landing section of the park by a nice promenade.
At the beach you'll find picnic tables and grills, picnic shelters, a bathhouse with a concession stand (open 12-7 daily during summer) restrooms (open 10am to dusk daily), and kayak rentals on the weekends. The area is open to visitors during daylight hours only.
