The largest of these "non-professional" designed and built labyrinths is visible on Google Earth. The hike from the regional park parking lot on Skyline Drive near Grizzly Peak to the overlook and labyrinth is pleasant with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. (Unfortunately it is not accessible to some folks with mobility disabilities--although the posting party made the trip with a 20-month-old toddler). Lots of interesting activity on the solstices. They may be "hand-made" but they've been around for at least ten years.
