Camille Pissarro was one of the leading French Impressionists. He spent much time, unusually, in painting the suburbs of London. He came and stayed in Kew, Richmond in 1892. He painted a view of Kew Green but it is impossible at the moment to tell which view it is as there are two possibilities. He also painted views of Kew Gardens nearby of which the most famous is the The Path to The Main Conservatory.
