The cemetery is very well kept, with sears provided for quiet contemplation.
The church was built originally in the first half of the 16th century, and the church was rebuilt in 1875.
The church is famous for it's association with the Reverend Robert Walker who is buried here,he is known as "THe wonderful Walker"because of William Wordsworth's reference to him in his poem,"The Excursion" and his sonnet "The River Duddon".
