Charleston, Mississippi, City Hall located on the court house square. Charleston, MS., is a town of approximately 2,200 in Tallahatchie County. Tallahatchie County was organized on Dec. 23, 1833, after the Third Choctaw Cession. Tallahatchie means “River of the Rock.”
The building that the City Hall is located in was originally a theater, and was converted to City Hall in 1978.
