Kingston Lacy House is now a National Trust property and is located just off the Blandford Road - B3082 in Dorset. The house is an elegant country mansion created by the Bankes family. There are Egyptian collections, a sarcophagus in the garden and beautifully landscaped walkways. Snowdrops adorn the borders in late winter and the grandeur in the house is preserved magnificently.
This clock tower dominates the area where the stables used to be. There are exhibits for the laundry in the courtyard, a National Trust shop and toilets. More history can be found at The Heritage Trail.
