This bench mark is cut into the Southern parapet of the old road bridge over the old Newton Abbot to Mortonhampstead railway line just north of the old Heathfield railway station. It is not shown on early O/S maps of Devon but is listed in the O/S Bench mark database. It is 29.67m above the Newlyn datum and was last verified in 1962.
