The Curran Apple Orchard was purchased by the city of University Place and is now a "urban edible classroom" as they like to call it. It was originally owned by Mary and Charles Curran, who transformed the property into an orchard, planting 250 Gravenstein, MacIntosh, and golden delicious apple trees.
Familys can adopt a tree for $35 a season. They then attend free pruning classes, take care of their tree and in the fall reap the harvest.
Regular events take place at the park including a concert series and an annual cider squeeze. See the gallery for photos of various park information and events.
