Salz tannery, established 1861, was the oldest tannery west of the Mississppi until it recently went out of business. Plans are to turn the site into a local artists' development for local artists in Santa Cruz, CA.

Volunteers can come on Sundays at 1 pm to work on the artwork I've been told.
