Inksmith and Rogers was established in 1984 when Paul Rogers, “The Grandfather of American Tattooing,” encouraged his good friend and fellow tattoo artist Eric Inksmith to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida.
Paul Rogers was considered “tattoo royalty” in his day and was known around the world for his solid, brightly colored traditional-style tattooing. Paul was confident their new studio would be a success – due to his new partner’s enthusiasm and his own personal wisdom gleaned from a lifetime in the tattoo trade.
Paul Rogers passed away in February 1990 at the age of eighty-four, and Eric Inksmith has kept his name prominent in order to honor this great master’s memory. (Taken from Inksmith & Rogers website - http://www.inksmithtattoo.com/)
