The history of the downtown section of Maryville dates back many years. There are still remnants of that history available in the old buidings themselves... and what's on them. While looking for a nearby (very nearby) geocache, I photographed this fading ad. There is no hint of where the J&K Superstores might have been, but this area could have served as it's parking lot. You can't drive there now though. You can walk in from the Greenbelt, which is the safest way. Or if brave, attempt the stairs... but I don't recommend that as they are quite rickety.
