Located in East Amwell, this historic sign proclaims the significance of two old hamlets situated within East Amwell, Hunterdon County.
New Market-Linvale/Snyderstown Historic District is located along the old Trenton Road (Route 31). There was a store as early as the late 18 th century, which stands today. Snyderstown was named for a pre-Revolutionary grist and oil mill which is now a private dwelling. The area became known as Linvale in 1891. East Amwell Township
