USGS BM Disk 55 SKS, 1955, GA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This disk is located on the NE edge of the bridge on the dam on Lake Acworth Drive. The disk is a USGS Benchmark disk stamped 55 SKS with a 1955 date and the elevation of 866. An Internet search of all the databases I could find did not yield any reference to this disk. The disk is in fairly good condition with one slash in it. It is located behind the guard rail as the North East end of the bridge. There is some fairly fresh paint on the concrete guard rail of the bridge and the letters BM painted on the concrete pointing to the location of the mark.
