The Brownsburg Town Court was established in 1992 in an effort alleviate some of the case load on the Hendricks County Courts. Town Courts handle all traffic infractions and local ordinance violations as well as criminal misdemeanors.

In addition to the Judge, the court staff consists of two full- time and one part- time employee. Court is in session on Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 and typically hears between 60 and 70 cases each day.
