IRONTON-RUSSELL BRIDGE ACROSS THE OHIO RIVER
View from Russell, Kentucky
The Ironton-Russell Bridge is managed by the Ohio Department of Transportation. It was declared structurally unsound in 1990 and has been modified, but is still slated for replacements when funding is available. The bridge is plaqued by narrow travel lanes, a mesh grid surface, and nearly 90 degree angle approaches at both ends.
